Weiyang District of Xi'an covers an area of 226 square kilometers, with the natural ecological environment of "four rivers around Weiyang" and Sichuan tableland, rich historical and cultural accumulation and good location conditions.


Combined with the location characteristics and current situation of Weiyang District and the research conclusion of Weiyang District in Xi'an master plan (2004-2020), in the conceptual planning and urban design of Weiyang District, the design team put forward the ideas of "modern Xi'an grid city", "establishing a new urban economic model", "building a new core landscape axis" and "developing a new multi-functional vitality belt of the city" based on the construction concept of grid city, It emphasizes the inheritance of the city's historical context, the establishment of modern urban economic model and the coordinated development with nature. From the aspects of industrial layout, spatial development, land use, transportation, green space and ecosystem, tourism system and urban design, we will jointly build a modern ecological North Gate urban area of Xi'an with "Sichuan Plateau in the same city and four rivers converging" and a new political, economic and cultural center of Xi'an, It is an important radiation center in the central area of Xi'an metropolitan area.


The conceptual planning and urban design of Weiyang District put forward a high starting point design scheme for the future urban development of Weiyang District. The purpose is to jump the constraints of planning, study the development of Weiyang District in the further future, and further improve the scientificity and foresight of urban planning. At the same time, the macro conclusions of the previous level of planning and the excellent foreign urban planning theories and experience are applied to the spatial region, so as to form controllable elements to guide the preparation of relevant planning, so as to make Weiyang District have broader development prospects, move forward with a new attitude, and constantly realize the overall leap of economy and society.
