Commemorating the 15th Anniversary of Postearthquake Reconstruction in Wenchuan | Chen Keshi · Planning and Design of Shuimo Town in Wenchuan

On May 12, 2008, the earthquake disaster that occurred in Wenchuan County and surrounding areas in China shocked the world. After the earthquake, the Chinese government immediately organized various provinces and cities across the country to support the reconstruction of the disaster areas. After more than two years of planning and construction, the achievements in the reconstruction of the Wenchuan disaster area have been praised worldwide. Shuimo Town, built with assistance from Foshan City, Guangdong Province, has rebuilt three major areas: Chanshou Old Street, Shouxi Lake, and Qiangcheng. Shuimo Town is considered the first town to be rebuilt after the Wenchuan earthquake.
