At 3 p.m. on May 14, 2014, Professor Chen Keshi, director of China urban design center of Peking University, at the invitation of Nyingchi Prefecture administration of Tibet, gave a special lecture entitled "tourism and urban design in Tibet" in the auditorium on the fifth floor of Nyingchi Prefecture administration. The leaders of the regional administrative office participated in the study, including Wang Dui, Commissioner of the regional administrative office of Nyingchi, Basang, Deputy Commissioner, Zhao Shuming, Deputy Commissioner, Zhao Jun, secretary general, Yang Fangyu, Dawa, Wang chunding, Zhang Gengyun and other relevant leaders, as well as all cadres above the deputy section level of the regional administrative office and relevant leaders of Nyingchi county. As a member of the professor's entourage, Chen Shufeng, deputy general manager of CR Design, accompanied him to attend the seminar.


In the special lecture, Professor Chen Keshi focused on the important position of Nyingchi region in Tibet's tourism industry. Professor Chen believes that Lhasa Nyingchi Bomi Chayu Shangri La Lijiang, as China's fifth largest international tourism line, Nyingchi has an indisputable strategic position. Once this international tourism line is opened, it will bring great tourism value to Nyingchi. Then, from the professional perspective of urban design, Professor Chen specifically analyzes how urban design creates new value for cities and towns, and how scientific and systematic urban construction provides strong support for the development of tourism. Finally, Professor Chen described the work progress and design results of Lulang international tourism town to the Nyingchi regional administration in detail.


The professor's wonderful speech made all the cadres present very attentive and felt that there was still more to be said. The leaders of the administrative office of Nyingchi Prefecture spoke highly of Professor Chen's special lecture. They believed that the professor's speech broadened the cadres' working ideas and clarified the future work objectives. They immediately invited the professor to give another special lecture on the architectural art of Tibetans in Gongbu area. In addition, it also said that it would hire professors and their teams to do the overall urban design of Bayi Town, Nyingchi County, the second largest city in Tibet.
