Professor Chen Keshi, chief designer of CR Design, made a special speech at the consultative meeting of Shenzhen CPPCC and suggested using "four bays and one river" to open the future spatial pattern of Shenzhen

Shenzhen people often have a desire for the sea. Even if there is a traffic jam for five hours, they have to go to Dameisha to have a look at the blue sea. People in Shenzhen are puzzled by the fact that it is difficult to get close to the sea.

At the same time, after more than 30 years of development, Shenzhen began to layout the marine industry as a future industry, and the concept of bay area economy closely related to the ocean has also become the hottest topic this year.

Once a small fishing village and now a metropolis, when will Shenzhen embrace marine civilization on the road of internationalization?

"In the future, half of Shenzhen citizens should live in houses with a full sea view." At the special consultation meeting of the municipal CPPCC on "international urban construction" held yesterday afternoon, Chen Keshi, member of the municipal CPPCC and vice president of the school of urban planning and design of Peking University, was not advertising for real estate developers. With the vision of a planner, he described a possibility of the future for Shenzhen, which has a coastline of 260 kilometers, to move towards an internationally renowned city - to create China's first coastal city in the future: "maritime Shenzhen" with "four bays and one river".

[current situation] urban planning lacks coastal elements and is still "inland" planning

"In the past five years, I arranged for my graduate students to study the planning of Shenzhen. It was found that the overall planning scheme of Shenzhen has never put forward the vision of the future development of coastal cities from the perspective of internationalization and coastal resources." Chen Keshi pointed out that the Shenzhen urban planning plan is an inland urban planning plan, but for a city with a shortage of resources, if it is planned as a land city, Shenzhen can not even be compared with many inland cities. However, if the future strategic development idea of Shenzhen changes from inland cities to coastal cities, Shenzhen will have a more attractive spatial pattern in attracting talents and funds.

[assumption] "Shenzhen on the sea" is an excellent choice for internationalization

Chen Keshi believes that cities should achieve win-win results at the three levels of economy, environment and culture. Culture is the final competitiveness of the city. Marine culture is the biggest urban cultural feature of Shenzhen, and it is also the biggest competitiveness and charm of Shenzhen. "Maritime Shenzhen" will be the best choice for Shenzhen to stand out in the global competition.

"Imagine that Shenzhen's future cultural facilities, opera houses, art academies, financial offices and theme parks will be built on land related to the sea. In the future, Shenzhen will have the world's largest marine cruise terminal, and the river will become the landscape road of Shenzhen in the future. Shenzhen people will have the lifestyle of a world-class coastal city, and half of Shenzhen citizens will spend weekends at sea..." Chen Keshi described "Shenzhen on the sea" The charm of life.

[path] take "four bays and one river" as a breakthrough

Chen Keshi believes that the "four bays and one river" of Qianhai Bay, Shenzhen Bay, Dapeng Bay, Daya Bay and Shenzhen River can be determined as the core strategy of Shenzhen's planning for the next 35 years as a breakthrough in the construction of "maritime Shenzhen".

——Qianhai Bay will be the "Manhattan" of Shenzhen

"Speaking of Qianhai Bay, I can easily think of New York, but the area of 15 square kilometers is not enough to lay the best foundation for the development of Qianhai." Chen Keshi pointed out that everyone has high expectations for Qianhai, but from the perspective of a planner, the current design scheme of Qianhai has great limitations, because the current spatial layout will form a bottle mouth in terms of form.

"I hope I can boldly make some assumptions, make use of the foundation of Dachan island and Xiaochan island in the west, and then enclose 30 square kilometers to 40 square kilometers of land from the sea, so that it can become Manhattan in Shenzhen, so as to change the Qianhai space pattern we have formed."

——Shenzhen Bay will be the "Sydney port" of Shenzhen

"My concept of Shenzhen Bay is a harbor of fashion, art and leisure." Chen Keshi suggested that in addition to the current Shenzhen Bay Bridge, two more bridges can be added to interact with Hong Kong, so that Shenzhen Bay really has its resource potential. He also compared Valentine's Island in Sydney and believed that the terrain of Shenzhen Bay is very close to Sydney port. "We can boldly imagine that Shenzhen and Hong Kong can jointly build a dynamic Bay area and truly take Shenzhen Bay as a cultural gathering place."

——Dapeng Bay will be the "Gold Coast" and "Hawaii" of Shenzhen

"I went to the top of OCT in the East a few days ago and looked at Dapeng Bay. I think this is the most valuable Bay Area in the future. It must be higher than Hawaii in the United States." Chen Keshi believes that if Dapeng Bay is developed, in terms of water quality and mountain and sea resources, it should become the most attractive area in Shenzhen and a treasure land with the most resources. Now is a good time for construction.

——Daya Bay will be the "Miami" of Shenzhen

Chen Keshi believes that Daya Bay shows the comprehensive advantages of China's coastal areas and has excellent conditions to develop into a super large-scale economy and a regional economic center. It is hoped that the development of Daya Bay is not only a biological Valley, but also a capital of design. Like Miami, the sun and beach are inexhaustible, full of food, music and sports.

——Shenzhen River will be the "Mekong River" of Shenzhen

The 37 kilometer Shenzhen River is the mother river of Shenzhen and the boundary river between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. "Shenzhen River is the best theme for Shenzhen Hong Kong cooperation." Chen Keshi proposed that Shenzhen and Hong Kong should strengthen cooperation and joint development to connect the Shenzhen River from Shenzhen Bay to Yantian, so as to form a water channel as an inland river and build it into a Mekong River similar to Bangkok.
