After multiple on-site investigations and detailed research by the design team on the historical and current planning and urban design schemes of Zhanjiang city, we propose the following design concepts and ideas:
1. Create a city public space, living square, and cultural center area that is most popular among Zhanjiang citizens on the project site, making it the most popular city center among Zhanjiang citizens;
2. The architectural form cleverly draws inspiration from marine life, and with its unique curves and flowing dynamics, echoes the charming coastline of Zhanjiang, jointly shaping a complete scene of the Fuchun Bay Seaside Residence, becoming a new landmark of Zhanjiang's future city;
3. A brand new and unique conceptual planning and design scheme, adopting the design of the fourth generation ecological housing in the residential area. With its creative architectural image, materials, and technology, it represents Zhanjiang's pursuit of future ecology and smart city, and will become a model for Zhanjiang's new concept living urban area.
4. By diverting water into the city, create an organic waterfront and ecological habitat, interweave with buildings, and jointly create a unique and vibrant Zhanjiang coastline;
5. Integrating marine and cultural characteristics, injecting new vitality and charm into the coastal commercial street, and bringing endless happiness and beautiful experiences to citizens and tourists;
6. Build the most famous cultural and tourism high-end urban area in Zhanjiang, introduce Zhanjiang's unique cultural and tourism performing arts formats, present diverse themed artistic performances, allow people to enjoy spiritual sublimation, become permanent memories, Zhanjiang has drama and happy life.
The Zhanjiang Fuchun Bay project is located in the circular service core of the central urban area of Zhanjiang, and is the intersection of the urban functional agglomeration development axis and the development axis along the bay of Zhanjiang Bay. As a preparatory project for the key construction of the city in 2024, I have always believed that this project is a symbol of Zhanjiang's entry into a new era, like an artistic landscape representing the "Fuchun Bay Sea Residence". It must be a regional, original, and artistic urban demonstration zone, which is a symbol of the city's economic, technological, and cultural confidence.

As urban construction in Shenzhen enters a stock renewal phase, Dapeng New District, endowed with coastal ecological foundations and aligned with the city’s strategic positioning as a national marine central city, has emerged as a core platform for revitalizing and upgrading Shenzhen’s coastal spaces. Leading the ZY Urban Design team, Chen Keshi centered the master plan on organic urban renewal. Rejecting large-scale demolition and reconstruction, the team revitalized existing stock spaces, preserved local cultural heritage, and upgraded industrial formats to deliver the comprehensive urban design of Dapeng Marine Cultural Town, creating a benchmark renewal model in Shenzhen where old and new coastal landscapes coexist harmoniously.
