The planning and architectural scheme design of Huangshan Chinese painting and calligraphy town completed by Professor Chen Keshi and CR design team is located in Yixian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It is close to Hongcun in the northeast and Xidi ancient village in the southeast. Relying on Huangshan scenic spot, taking the profound connotation of Huizhou culture as the connotation, and taking calligraphy and painting trading as the leading industry, the project will build a domestic well-known cultural tourism town integrating high-end hotels, calligraphy and painting creation, calligraphy and painting exhibition, catering and entertainment, so as to make the calligraphy and painting town a new engine driving local economic development.

On February 21, 2021, the No. 1 document of the No. 1 central document, the opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating agricultural and rural modernization, was officially released; On February 25, the National Rural Revitalization Bureau, an institution directly under the State Council, was officially listed; On March 22, 2021, Xinhua News released the policy  of “consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization” by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. Those big moves show that rural revitalization has been officially launched as a national strategy.



Huangshan Chinese painting and calligraphy town is located in Yi County, Huangshan City, which is known as the "most beautiful village". The town will be officially opened and sooner become a representative of “beautiful village suitable for living and working". Located between Xidi and Hongcun, this characteristic cultural and tourism town takes calligraphy and painting art as its theme. Keep functions of this town includes sketch base, commercial office, hotel catering, waterfront street and master workshop. It should be complete from art sketch to art exchange, from the periphery of calligraphy and painting art to commercialization and industrialization. It will be built into a unique "beautiful town suitable for living and working".

The master workshop is a typical Huizhou style courtyard in the calligraphy and painting town. It inherits and carries forward the typical characteristics of Huizhou architecture, the courtyard culture of "green brick and black tile horse head wall" and "four water return hall". 93 Zhenpin courtyard houses are positioning as a multi-functional property with residence + industry + industry, and 14 courtyard houses together to create a palace of art.

The master workshop can be used for long-term living or holiday stay, people can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Yixian County and feel the cultural flavor of calligraphy and painting art; It can also be used as the creation, exchange, commerce and industrialization of calligraphy and painting art. This project truly achieves its target: "livable and suitable for work" and become a unique landscape in the town. There are three house types in the master workshop, namely Shoukang (189 m2), Jifang (163 m2) and Fengming (143 m2). People can choose the house type according to the needs. It is a wonderful choice for both calligraphy and painting art lovers to live and calligraphy and painting art practitioners to operate. The model rooms of the master workshop have been opened recently, which are Jifang and Fengming. They inherit the characteristic architectural style and indoor furnishings and layout of Huizhou, infiltrate the living temperature with the charm of Huizhou, and match with the artistic style of calligraphy and painting. Each exquisite work, each furnishing, every detail and every angle realize the ingenious integration of ingenuity and culture.
