brief introduction

In order to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University, the China Urban Design Research Center of Peking University and the World Architecture Guide co hosted a series of lectures on the "Peking University Urban Design Forum", and 11 keynote speakers, as well as students from the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University, the Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University, the Shenzhen Graduate School of Harbin Institute of technology and Shenzhen University, participated in this three-month academic activity.

Shenzhen is always sunny in autumn. The speeches of famous scholars and architectural designers from the University of Hong Kong, the University of Texas, Tongji University, Southeast University, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and South China University of technology have added luster to the academic atmosphere of the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University. Through a forum with the theme of urban design, communication, discussion and friendship have laid the foundation for the construction and development of urban design in Peking University.

Urban design is one of the key development disciplines of Peking University in the future. Although this discipline has just started in China, and although there are many deficiencies in the theory and practice of urban design, I am still willing to share the same wish with all scholars on the forum, that is, to invest in the research and practice of urban design with a positive and optimistic attitude.
